Camden - Kings Bay Council

June 10th St. Marys River Sunset Cruise; Supplies for July visit to Lake City VA Medical Center

Our end-of-the-program-year social - a Sunset Cruise on the St. Marys River - will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016. Calvin Lang has once again generously donated the use of his Cumberland Princess for the cruise. Please plan to join us for heavy hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, soft drinks, and spectacular views of Cumberland Island, Fort Clinch, Fernandina Beach, and downtown St. Marys. We'll begin boarding from the Cumberland Island dock in downtown St. Marys at 6:00 p.m, and will cast off at 6:30 p.m. sharp. We should be back at the dock no later than 9:00 p.m.

As a special added attraction, during the cruise we will recognize Camden County High School graduating Senior Mitchell Wagner, winner of the Camden - Kings Bay Navy League 2015 Youth Scholarship.

The cost to attend this event is $25 per person, which includes the cruise, food and beverages. The deadline for reservations is Monday, June 6, 2016. Please send your check in the proper amount, along with the names of people in your group, to:

Cheryl Aston
103 Hallowes Drive, South
St. Marys, GA 31558

On June 10th, we will also be collecting supplies for our July visit to the Lake City, FL VA Medical Center. Please help us by donating the supplies listed below. Donations can be dropped off at the Sunset Cruise check-in table prior to boarding the Cumberland Princess. We'd certainly welcome cash donations as well. Your checks/cash will help us purchase some much needed supplies for our vets at the VA Medical Center in Lake City. Checks should be made payable to Camden-Kings Bay Navy League. Please write "VA Med Center Donation" on the memo line of your check. Thanking you in advance for your tax deductible help with this worthy cause.
