Camden - Kings Bay Council

March 12th Kings Bay Silver and Gold Dolphin Scholarship Auction

The Camden-Kings Bay Council is offering a special treat for our March event. We will be joining the Kings Bay Submarine Officers' Spouses Association (KBSOSA) and the Kings Bay Chiefs' spouses at the 26th Annual Kings Bay Silver and Gold Auction. The event will be held on Saturday, March 12th, at the Fitness Complex onboard Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay and benefits the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation - which offers college scholarships to the sons and daughters of our Submariners - and local charities. The Camden-Kings Bay Council will have tables reserved at the event for our members and guests who attend.

Doors open and a Dinner Buffet begins at 5:30 p.m. The Silent Auction will start at 6:00 p.m., and the Live Auction begins after dinner. There will be music throughout the evening.

The theme of this year's auction is Tikis, Totems & Tropical Treats, so grab your best aloha gear and plan on a fun evening with great food, great Navy and Navy League people, great bargains, and all for a great cause.

There will be contests and prizes for Best Costume in 3 categories: best dressed couple, best dressed male, best dressed female; Best Centerpiece (pick an island landmark, famous person or god for inspiration) -  Best Over-All Centerpiece, Most Creative and Most Likely to be Sacrificed; Volcano Offering to the Gods; and a People's Choice Tikis & Totems Contest with the winner picked by public acclimation.

Tickets are $30 per person which includes buffet dinner and 2 beers or 1 wine. Also, available for optional purchase, are After Auction VIP Lounge drink and cigar tickets and several types of leis, available for pickup at the door on the night of the event. Those who pre-purchase leis will be entered in a raffle for a Hawaiian Basket.

Navy League members and their guests must order EVENT TICKETS through Cheryl Aston. The deadline to RSVP and pay for Navy League members' and guests' event tickets is March 1st. Mail your check in the proper amount ($30 per person, payable to "KBSOSCA") along with a list of those in your party, to:

In addition to attending this fun event, KBSOSCA invites everyone to donate tax deductible goods and services to this year's silent and verbal auctions. The success of the KBSOSA auction relies on donors like you. In order to continue the success of this event, to support higher education for dependents of our Submariners and to help those in the community with unmet needs, KBSOSA needs your help.

To make a tax deductible donation, please fill out the donation form in its entirety for each donation, including its estimated fair market value, and mail the completed donation form and your donation to:
