Camden - Kings Bay Council

2017 World War II Submarine Veterans Memorial

IWe are preparing to welcome 14 World War II Submarine Veterans, 6 World War II Submarine Veteran Widows and over 300 submariners and family members to the Kings Bay area for the Annual Submarine Veterans of World War Two Memorial Ceremony.

The Ceremony will be on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at the Submarine Veterans of WWII Pavilion in front of the Trident Training Facility on Subase Kings Bay.

The Ceremony is co-sponsored by U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II, United States Submarine Veterans, and the St. Marys Submarine Museum.

If you have never attended you ar encouraged  to join us this year, as it won't be too far in the future when we will not have any of these true American Heroes with us. They are all in their 90's and some come from as far away as California to be here to celebrate their heritage and, most importantly, to pay tribute to those lost in service to their county.

Our own Camden County High School Band and choral group Volume One will be performing, and the Guest Speaker will be our new Group Ten Commander, Rear Admiral Mike Holland.

If you wish to attend please RSVP to Keith Post no later than close of business on October 26th, so he can assure you are on the base access list. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact Keith by email or by phone at 912-674-2620.
