followed by indoor presentation
We’ve all seen police/military working dogs: checking for drugs at public gatherings, assisting in a security event (hopefully on TV). We kick-off our Fall dinners with a live demonstration before dinner, followed by Q&A and information about the worldwide missions these dogs and their handlers perform. You are guaranteed to be entertained and surprised. Buffet Dinner by Brimley’s Catering, so you know it will be good.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in one of those padded training suits and see a dog do its work “up close and personal?” This is your chance! We will raffle off the opportunity to participate in the demonstration, with the proceeds going to support the Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen of Kings Bay. Not for the faint of heart, but the base SECO assures me that it will be safe.
Access to the Kings Bay TRIPLEX: If you are a member of the Kings Bay Council and DO NOT have Base access, you can obtain a special one-year access badge. Please contact our Membership VP, Vicki Nicholson at vjnich@gmail.com and she will help you through the process. Note that spouses or other guests that don’t have access cannot be escorted with the special badges. Spouses can affiliate with the Council under our Family Plan and obtain their own badge. Again, contact Vicki for help.
