The Camden – Kings Bay Council of the Navy League of the United States supports the commands and the men and women of the sea services and their families stationed at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay and in St. Marys, Georgia.

Our monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (September thru June) and feature guest speakers who update the community on local or national military concerns, challenges and successes.  

We have had the opportunity to host the leadership of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Submarine Group 10, commanders and leaders of local military units, and officers and crew of visiting submarines. 

We have proudly been involved in the commissioning or return-to-service of USS FLORIDA, USS GEORGIA, USCG SEA DOG, and USCG SEA DRAGON, USS Savannah and have adopted Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay and, by extension, all of its commands, and the United States Coast Guard Maritime Safety & Security Team 91108 in St. Marys.

Our Council is a founding member of the Camden County community program EDICCIMAD (Every Day In Camden County Is Military Appreciation Day) , At least twice each year we collect personal care supplies and deliver them to the VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL. We support our local VA Clinic and conduct annual Wreaths Across America ceremonies in St. Marys.

Our signature events include our Toys for Tots Luncheon in December and our Annual Sea Services Awards Banquet in May/June. We sponsor and participate in base and submarine tours, change of command ceremonies, boat welcoming and departure parties, the Silver & Gold Dolphin Auction, the Submarine Birthday Ball, the Navy Ball, the Marine Corps Balland other interesting, exciting and educational events.

We consistently earn Outstanding or Meritorious Council recognition from the national Navy League of the United States, and have been honored for both our website and our newsletter, The Trident.

Members of the Navy League of the United States residing in greater Camden County, Georgia are invited to join our Council. Local dues for an individual are $25.00 per year; $40.00 for a couple; $200.00 for Lifetime individual local membership and $250.00 for Lifetime local membership for a couple.  Local dues help support our ongoing programs and services in support of the men and women of the sea services.
